Phil’s early foray into fashion came through selling and curating vintage clothing in Camden market. At the time, he was immersed in London club culture, from electronic to northern soul and everything in between. Through this, his love of music gave him unique access into subcultures and style, and his stall became a go-to for club kids, fashion stylists and designers. This led to commissions researching and collecting vintage inspiration for fashion brand development from Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Levis, amongst others.

Phil continues to consult with fashion brands, including a role previously as Creative Director of menswear start-up “Corinthian”, to turn the story, ethos and legacy of the Corinthian football team (1882-1939) into a contemporary menswear brand. Using his knowledge of historic menswear to develop a modern visual signature, his role was to oversee all creative elements from initial brand development to sample production.

Now as a stylist and costume designer for music videos, photoshoots, TV and films, Phil works with musicians, record label, actors and directors to represent their character and best enhance their personal style.

In the music industry, Phil works with artists across a broad spectrum of genres, including: Moses Boyd, The Kooks, You Me At Six, Icona Pop, Carl Barat (Libertines), Incubus, Adam Jones (Tool), Demob Happy.

Phil’s TV and Film clients include independent shorts and features (Thousand Yesterdays, The Trivial Pursuit of Arthur Banks, Everything Carries Me To You, The Vintage.)

Phil’s passionate about developing each character's multi-faceted identity through wardrobe.

Phil is also Contributing Fashion Editor of the New Order Magazine, and has styled editorials for numerous other magazines and brands such as Hunger, Jocks and Nerds, New Era, Paul Smith and more.

Whilst he was singer of the band Cazals, Phil’s distinctive sense of personal style became a favourite with designers, and he was street cast for catwalk shows including Takeo Kikuchi in Tokyo and Comme de Garcons in Paris. Hedi Slimane (at that time Creative Director of Dior Homme) saw Cazals perform and enlisted Phil as a model and collaborator; Hedi shot the band many times for publications such as V Man and Libération.  Cazals toured extensively for 7 years with bands from Babyshambles to Daft Punk, releasing 5 singles, culminating with an album on renowned french label Kitsuné.

A close relationship with Paris and the city's nightlife scene also led Phil to a 2-year tenure as Musical Director of Le Baron, when Andre Saraiva opened his London outpost. During this time Bush worked alongside a host of talent such as Kanye West, Been Trill, Trevor Jackson, Chromeo, Sebastian Tellier, The Drums, amongst others, and has held a number of DJ residencies.

Phil is also Musical Director and co-founder of LDN Selective, a creative music agency covering everything from commercial music production to DJ booking. Specialising in mediating between the fields of design and sound and building sonic identities for visual concepts.

Having lived and worked in Paris, Milan, Tokyo and LA, Phillip is now based in East London, and holds down a multifaceted role as Stylist, Creative Director & Music Supervisor across his roster of clients.
